Air du Temps
A breath of fresh air
It's rare for a country inn to live up to its name so well. The charming white buildings of the restaurant-lodging L'Air du Temps, run by two-Michelin-starred chef Sang-Hoon Degeimbre, seem to spring up amidst vast vegetable gardens. Writing a new chapter in their collaboration with Sang-Hoon, the designers and interior architects of Exsud are breathing new life into these already legendary surroundings. It's more than just a style that's being rediscovered; it's a soul.
Warm intimacy
Depending on the season, or for a more intimate setting, opt for the interior lounge where wood and stone blend seamlessly, contrasting rustic and refined elements in shades of brown, beige, and gray. Everything revolves around a striking wood-burning stove that radiates warmth to guests nestled in deep, Art Deco-style leather armchairs. Hanging light fixtures from the ceiling add a touch of brightness to the glowing embers.
Night side
The rooms are accessed via a wildly spiraling staircase with openwork steps and a metal railing edged with LEDs. Upstairs, the earthy, material aesthetic that characterizes Exsud's work is evident. Collections of native and creative objects and furniture, in warm tones, fabrics, wood, glass, and earthenware, are set against a backdrop of gray.
